London

London
Nightlife

London nightlife
is truly second to none and regardless of what you’re looking for, whether you
want a hip hop club open until 8 am or a gay friendly bar to relax and enjoy
yourself you’re guaranteed to find the perfect spot in London. Unlike many other
cities, live music isn’t a rare event and you can usually find very good quality
and often free music events running throughout the week, every week. What’s more
you don’t need to feel restricted by bar closing hours because London truly is a
24 hour city.

Covent Garden And
Leicester Square

Covent Garden and
Leicester Square are, without doubt, aimed primarily at tourists and the vibe
and prices of both regions match this perfectly. You won’t find locals in many
of the Covent Gardens pubs and clubs and you shouldn’t expect to get any change
from a £5 note when you order a bottle of beer. With that said, you can enjoy
some extensive people watching but if you want a great night out in London and
you don’t want to meet all of the tourists then you should probably keep away
from these two areas.

Piccadilly

Piccadilly is
another hot spot for tourism although it is possible to find some good London
pubs and bars in the region that won’t charge the earth for a drink and may be
less packed with tourists. It is convenient for transport as well as finding
somewhere to stay and a lot of events and entertainment can also be found in
Piccadilly.

Soho

Soho has gained
something of a mixed reputation. It has become known as an adult orientated
region because of the number of strip and adult venues, but it is also home to
some of the most exclusive and the most VIP of all London bars. If your main
intention of a stay in London is to go celebrity spotting then Soho and the
increasingly trendy and hip Shoreditch are the regions for you. Expect stringent
dress codes and very long queues to get into some of the best Soho clubs.

The Strand

The Strand has a
great assortment of traditional pubs as well as modern bars and clubs. Prices
can be a little high and if you’re planning a night out round this area then you
should try and get on the guest list early in order to try and avoid the queues.
Most clubs do offer reduced prices if you get to the door before 10pm or 11pm
and this can be a good way to save yourself a bit of money when enjoying London
clubs.

Shoreditch

Shoreditch is
becoming an ultra modern and seriously hip location; almost rivalling Soho for
its high concentration of celebrities, sports stars, and VIPs. Dress well, queue
early, and enjoy a night of star spotting and luxury entertainment. Many of the
most modern and contemporary of London’s pubs and clubs can be found in
Shoreditch.

London On
BoozeBritain

This is just a
very small selection of the areas where you can find London pubs and clubs. As
an extensive directory of London bars and venues you can find details of pubs,
clubs, and more in other areas like the East End, Chinatown, Charing Cross,
Islington and beyond on the BoozeBritain website.
