Booze Britain is a user assisted directory, which means that users like you help to keep all of the information up to date and timely. Pubs and clubs open on a regular basis and as much as we try to offer the most updated information for all of the very latest pubs and clubs it is impossible for us to maintain every venue in every town (unfortunately). As new venues open and old ones close it can take time for the information to filter through Google maps and other software that is used so without our ever vigilant network of users to help us update the directory a lot of the information becomes less relevant.

New Venues

In some towns and cities, new venues open on a regular basis. In a lot of cases they may open in place of an existing venue or it could just be a case of a fairly simple name change. In other cases, though, buildings are converted entirely from one designation to another and in these cases especially, directory details do become inaccurate. Some of these new pubs and clubs embrace features like local search and they will be added to the directory as they appear online but this isn’t always the case.

Incorrect Details

Google Maps is one of the most beneficial new features online. With it, you can locate addresses, businesses, and post codes. As useful as it is, though, the information isn’t always on the button. Pubs may be highlighted on the map in the wrong place. In other cases, clubs and other venues may have changed their name once under new management. While this might not seem as important it can make a big difference when you’re trying to plan the best night out possible.

Up To Date Information

Some towns tend to suffer more at the hands of regularly changing venues with pubs and clubs that move, change hands, and close down regularly. At the same time, new bars open and many of these new bars have introductory offers and entertainment lined up that will help to get any evening started properly. If you know of any new venues or you find a pub or club in the directory that has incorrect details then you can change them so that they are right and let everybody know of the proper details.

One of the greatest benefits of the Booze Britain directory is that it is updated by people just like you; people that visit the pubs and clubs and leave their own ratings, add their own photographs, and update out-of-date or incorrect details for us. We do everything we can to add any new venues and remove those that close down but we really can’t do it single handedly. What’s more, while a lot of landlords, owners, and managers update their own details others don’t. By helping us keep the directory updated you are helping ensure that everybody enjoys the night out that they’re looking for.
